Yes!  Your membership fee, any memberships you sponsor - and any additional donation amount IS tax deductible!!

Who can join?

Anyone can be a PTA member!

PTA membership is open to everyone! PTA is an inclusive organization and we invite all adults who care about children and schools to join. Although you may still participate in PTA activities without a formal membership, by joining you gain the right to vote on PTA issues - from board members to budgets!

As a PTA member, do I need to volunteer?

It is optional how active of a member you would like to be.  We welcome our wonderful volunteers in the programs and events we plan for the year!  And encourage member participation in general meetings and other activities.  But, the amount of involvement with the PTA is your choice.

Do I need to come to meetings?

NO-- you do not have to attend any meetings!!! There is no meeting requirement for members. But we'd love to see you! PTA offers general membership meetings five times a year and we work hard to use the time to communicate important information and share programs on topics of interest to our families. Meetings are a great way to connect with other people in our school community and learn about the goings-on at J.F. Cooper.
